229 5th Avenue. Google Maps says: 6 min walk
Looking for something sweet and savory? Check out this little Vietnamese spot, a block and a half north from BCL. The offer a generous sized portion of pho, and a lunch special of a Vietnamese sandwich with your choice of soup or bubble tea. This is a popular spot for members.
168 5th Avenue. Google Maps says: 9 min walk
In this neighborhood you’ve got to walk a bit of a distance for the nearest Chipotle, but hopefully, Maya Taqueria, a California style taqueria, will meet your burrito and taco needs. Plus, they throw in some complimentary tortilla chips with your order. They have a nice array of salsa choices for free when you pick up your food from the shop.
Taheni Mediterranean Grill
224 4th Avenue. Google Maps says: 3 min walk
Right around the corner from BCL, this is a popular spot for members as well. It’s a great spot if you’re in the mood for pitas, wraps, and falafels. Their Zatar seasoned fries are delicious as well. If you’re looking for a lower carb option, they also have have salads available.
My Cuban Spot
488 Carroll Street. Google Maps says: 2 min walk
For the meat lovers, this little window-service spot with limited outdoor eating has tasty cuban sandwiches and beef empanadas. The food is delicious and authentic, just be prepared to wait about 10-15 minutes for your food, or order on Seamless to pick it up when you’re ready. Also note that they’re closed on Mondays.
256 5th Avenue. Google Maps says: 7 min walk
Have a client in town? Or maybe friends and family who’ve stopped by? If you’re looking for a bit of a lunch outing with food that’ll keep you full through the rest of your day, check out Negril BK. Go big and bold with oxtail or jerk chicken or try the smaller plates like wings and calamari. This place is best known for its lobster mac and cheese if you’re interested in the dinner menu after work.
