We all know that coffee isn't great for you, but every day around 2 PM we find ourselves reaching for that pot to get through our afternoon slump. All this month, we'll be posting healthy alternatives to your 2 PM coffee pick-me-up. Why don't you give this a try?

We've all heard the phrase "laughter is the best medicine". Sure, a positive outlook can hypothetically lead to a happier life in general, but studies have shown that laughter is actually good for both your mental and physical health (source). It can help you feel focused, more alert, relaxed, grounded and more connected and present.
A good, hearty laugh can leave your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes. Laughter can also boost your immune system and it triggers a rush of endorphins (makes ya feel good). Aside from the physical benefits of laughter, it may also help you shift your perspective and recharge.
Today, rather than a cup of coffee, I challenge you to watch one or two of these videos and have a good laugh instead! Each one is no more than 10 minutes long (most are shorter), most are stand-up comedians with a few other funny videos tossed in for good measure. WARNING: Some of these clips have strong language not suitable for children. And since you're watching at work, I recommend using headphones.
